My question to you is: if I stare at this long enough, will I stop wanting it?

I am absolutely loving Emmy Rossum’s Sentimental Journey. Yes, that is Emmy Rossum from Shameless US. Did you see her in Phantom of the Opera?

Once you’ve watched the vignette of ‘These Foolish Things (Remind Me of You)’, I just know you’ll want to hear the whole song - click here.

I watched Children of God last night. I thought it was beautiful done and - surprise, surprise - I was crying my heart out by the end.
If you have some time, definitely sit down and watch it. Johnny Ferro and Stephen Tyrone Williams deliver such compelling portrayals of the struggles that gay youths can go through. I also thought that Margaret Laurena Kemp was incredible in this.
Here’s the trailer.

Anonymous: why don't you have a submit page?

Because this is not a blog for contributors, where anyone can post something. Though that’s a nice idea, I feel I’m a bit too possessive of the ol’ k&e now and just wouldn’t be able to handle having others post on my baby.

If there’s something you would like to post on here though, perhaps you could talk to me about it?

3:12pm. winter is pulling at its blanket with morning-hands that are slow to grasp strength, and preparing to pull the body of it from the useless position at the foot of the bed until it’s right up over its head. the sky outside darkens slightly towards early afternoon and winter wriggles its toes and curls up tighter in the warmth, not yet quite awake.

The three of them spoke at the same time; Hermione said, “the Cloak,” Ron said, “the wand,” and Harry said, “the stone.”

Today I climbed a mountain.
Alright, it may not have been Mount Everest or anything but it was darn hard and there was a point where I wasn’t sure I’d be able to do it. But I did. I made my legs keep moving even though they were screaming at me; I breathed though lungs that felt raw; and when I stood at the summit, I felt such pride in knowing that I hadn’t given up.
I felt a strength and self-power that I haven’t felt in a long time.
I am also proud to say that I can now cross #10 - ‘Climb a mountain,’ off of my list of things to do in life.

Or rather — One is born. And through language, introduced to time…
Perhaps even — One is born, in time, through language."
